The dove has been the symbol of the human soul for centuries. These elegant birds soar into the sky with energy and exuberance and are often are an uplifting tribute to close a service for a loved one. Butterflies, both a symbol of transformation and rebirth, are a beautiful and natural expression of love. Releasing these delicate creatures is a comforting reminder of the perpetual cycle of life. A balloon release will allow everyone in attendance to send a final touching message by painting beautiful colors across the sky. Candle Ceremony A lit candle is symbolic of the human soul and of God’s eternal presence. Expand on that and consider a Candlelight Ceremony. Every attendee is given a white tapered candle with a wax shield. At Sunset Memorial Park, we also provide a tranquil rose garden for the scattering of cremated remains which not only offers an eco-friendly alternative but a convenient location in the heart of the city to revisit.
